We are committed to bringing our customers and consignors the very best in quality service and products.

1. What kind of consignment items are accepted?

We only accept current styles of women’s clothing, furniture, and home decor. We accept apparel (including jeans, tops, dresses, workout gear, shoes, skirts,  jackets, blazers, handbags, wallets, and jewelry). Please nothing older than two years. We also accept large and small furniture, home decor, artwork, bedding, and much more. If you have any questions on what we are currently taking, please feel free to call Cotton Kloset at (303) 805-2551.

2. When can I bring in items for consignment?

Consignments are accepted during normal business hours; no appointment is necessary. If you have larger home decor items please send a high quality picture to tracyjhughes@msn.com. Please see our policies for more information.

3. How long will you try to sell my consignment items, and how do the markdowns work?

We will keep your items at full price for 45-60 days. After that, they will be reduced to half price. If they don’t sell within two weeks at half price, we will donate your remaining items to a quality charity

4. How much money will I make from my consignment and how do I get paid?

Prices are set by Cotton Kloset. We work hard to give our consigning partners the very best balance between price and the quickest sale possible. It is in both of our best interest to price items for the maximum return in the shortest amount of time. Our goal is to make the most profit for both you and the store. We will also consider market factors. We don’t want your items to go unsold due to unrealistic pricing.

Consignors will receive 40% of the actual sale price. You are responsible for inquiring about and collecting your earnings from Cotton Kloset. Your earnings will be paid by check, or you can use your earnings as credit towards your purchases within Cotton Kloset. Checks are available on the 5th of each month for your previous month’s sales. We will hold your check here at the store for up to three months. Consignment earnings that are not retrieved within three months of the original check date will be forfeited. A check will not be issued if your cumulative earnings since the last payout are less than $11. We do not mail checks, except to our out of state consigners or a special circumstance.

5. What may be donated?

Any clothing item that Cotton Kloset determines is unlikely to sell, will be donated to a worthy charity. However, if you wish, you may have the items that we do not accept returned to you. This needs to be made clear at the time of dropoff. At the end of the half price sale period, we will donate the remaining items that did not sell to a charity of our choice. You may request a donation receipt at any time.
